The Longboard - St. John, USVI

The Longboard - St. John is Ballast Hospitality’s flagship concept that opened May 1st, 2015 in the heart of Cruz Bay, St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. This fast-casual Caribbean-Inspired Coastal Kitchen & Bar offers light and healthy fares and creative cocktails inspired by coastal regions around the globe. The main menu highlights fresh & locally sourced ingredients, with a heavy seafood focus, and is designed with the intention for guests to share small plates before moving on to the rest of the menu. The bar menu offers a wide selection of house-crafted cocktails, beers, wines and specialty drinks, including their world-famous Frozen Painkiller.

The Easterly - St. Thomas, USVI

The Easterly - St. Thomas is Ballast Hospitality’s second Caribbean-based concept, opened in January 2020 in Red Hook, St. Thomas. The menu is be ocean-focused, with ceviches, crudos, octopus, shellfish & lobster and whole grilled fish as mainstays. Dishes are be complemented by local flavors and produce, all cooked in a wood-fired kitchen. The Easterly offers one of the Virgin Island’s most robust beverage programs with innovative craft cocktails, twists on Caribbean favorites and an extensive list of craft beers & wine. The rustic island menu and outdoor locale offer a social, vibrant and interactive dining experience in the heart of St. Thomas’s American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook.

The Longboard - Sullivan’s Island, SC

The Longboard - Sullivan’s Island is the second iteration of our flagship concept on St. John, and the first stateside concept for our group. The previous ‘Pizza 450’ space has undergone an extensive renovation, headed by architect team Beau Clowney, and interior design team Cortney Bishop Design. Like our St. John locale, the SI location focuses on innovative & refined island fare, utilizing coastal flavors, fresh & obscure seafood, various shellfish additions, tropical produce, and Lowcountry farms & fishermen. The menu includes a focused raw bar program - oysters, fresh catch ceviche, aguachile, and poke - and an array of shareable bar snacks and refined small plates. The bar program delivers tropical craft cocktails made from fresh-squeezed juices and house-made syrups, shrubs and liqueurs, local kombucha and an extensive wine list. On tap you’ll find featured our world-famous frozen painkiller, an assortment of local craft beers and house-made sodas.

Lanai Restaurant - St. Thomas, USVI

Lanai [St. Thomas] is located on the south shore of St. Thomas in beautiful Frenchman’s Bay. Originally opened in 2016 along the shore of Limetree Beach within Limetree Beach Resort, the Ballast Hospitality team acquired this property in December of 2022. It is currently being operated as-is appearance wise, with operational, culinary and beverage program enhancements being implemented to bring it up to Ballast Hospitality standards.

Lanai offers a one-of-a-kind location and quintessential Caribbean beachfront dining experience. Currently serving innovative and refined seafood-forward island fare, and offering a lively bar program featuring Caribbean-inspired cocktails.
